Asia dominated the women's competition with a complete sweep of the gold medals. Japan's Keiko Mukumoto won the senior women's all-around title, and the winnning Chinese team took the remainder of the golds. Xiao Sha won the junior all-around and the golds on uneven bars and balance beam. Deng Ying won vault and Li Shanshan won floor exercise.

The host Ukrainians won three golds on the men's side: team, junior all-around (Viktor Stepanenko) and pommel horse (Alexander Koltakov).

Daniel Keatings won the senior all-around title and led Great Britain to the team silver over Russia. Teammate Luke Folwell won vault.

Most of Ukraine's top athletes were absent. Zakharova, the former president of the Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation, was removed from her post in 2006 after a lawsuit was filed contesting the results of the election.

The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
