The Chinese Gymnastics Association announced on Wednesday its final roster for the men's Olympic team, which includes three gymnasts competing in their third Olympics.

The six men named to the roster are 2000 and 2004 Olympians Yang Wei, Li Xiaopeng and Huang Xu, plus world championship gold medalists Chen Yibing, Xiao Qin and Zou Kai.

All but Li were members of the 2007 world champion team for China. Li, the 2000 Olympic champion and 2004 bronze medalist on parallel bars, missed the last two world championships due to injury but made his comeback statement at the 2008 Cottbus and Tianjin World Cups, where he clinched the gold on parallel bars both times.

The final roster for the Chinese women's team is scheduled to be announced Friday, when the Chinese Olympic delegation for all sports is expected to be publicized.

Also on Wednesday, Chinese President Hu Jintao paid a special visit to the Chinese National Gymnastics Training Center in Beijing, where he watched the men's and women's teams train in their final leg of preparation for the Olympics. Hu paid close attention to Yang Wei performing on parallel bars and He Kexin on uneven bars.

While an impromptu audience with President Hu could rattle the strongest of nerves (and rival an Olympic final in intensity), He successfully performed her full routine on uneven bars while Hu and the rest of the team watched upclose.

Hu personally chatted with He and expressed his best wishes for her Olympic success. When asked by the president if she feels confident about the upcoming Olympics, He replied with a resounding "yes."
