Spain's sixth-place men's team from the 2007 World Championships in Stuttgart will be back at next month's Olympic Games in Beijing.

Headed to the Olympics are Gervasio Deferr, Rafael Martínez, Isaac Botella, Manuel Carballo, Iván San Miguel and Sergio Muñoz.

The same six gymnasts finished sixth in the team final and seventh in qualification in Stuttgart. Deferr, the 2000 and 2004 Olympic vault champion, won the silver on floor and Martinez placed sixth all-around.

Men's head coach Álvaro Montesinos opted to go for the experienced team from Stuttgart. Left off the team were 2008 Junior European still rings champion Christian Bazán, 18, and World Cup finalist Javier Gómez, 20.

"Both Christian and Javier are excellent gymnasts and it has been a hard decision, but I have decided to bet on the group from Stuttgart," Montesinos said. "Plus Christian and Javier are young and I know that the two will be in upcoming important events."

The Spanish men finished 10th at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
