Not smart
Bad, bad decision in my opinion. I think this will be the beginning of the end for her career and I think it was handled poorly.

I am disappointed that Gabby decided to leave but I do wish her well. I hope that she can find a new gym that she can grow and be happy with.
However it sounds like she is trying to please her family and not really her. I just do not know if moving and starting a new gym is the best thing for her without getting the issues addressed at Chows. Vanessa Atler changed gyms in 1999 and ran from her problems. I just do not want the change to be the same to Gabby. I hope she does continue gymnastics and makes a life that she is happy with.

I agree that's a bad decision it will be the end of her career!!! Gabby was a fantastic gymnast but in my opinion was inconsistent and didnt deserve to win Olympic AA Gold. I feel it was the best meet she had and was lucky Jordyn should have been there and was underscored.

I don't find it surprising. She often talked about being homesick for her family when she lived in Iowa. I understand she's very close to her mother and siblings. I hope she's happy in CA, and finds success in a gym there.
