Junior Paola Galante won the bronze, .050 behind Benolli. "I did not expect this," Parolari said, "although I hoped to climb on the podium. I knew that Paola and Francesca were very fit, but lately I have been working very diligently for this in our new gym. And it's thanks to the gym that [local businessman] Lorenzo Pancini gave us that I could improve, especially in vaulting, so I will dedicate my gold to him." 2006 world champion Vanessa Ferrari competed on uneven bars only. Her score of 13.150 on that event was only seventh, which will keep her out of Sunday's apparatus finals. Parolari, who is coached by Vincenzina Vanenti and Georgy Yudenko, was the top scorer on balance beam (15.150) and floor exercise (14.400). Benolli, the 2005 European vault champion, was the top scorer on that event (15.250) while Galante led uneven bars (15.200). 2007 European vault champion Carlotta Giovannini suffered a sprained knee on her bars dismount and scratched the competition. ![]() Source: Federazione Ginnastica d'Italia Click here to download detailed results. 2008 Italian Women's Championships Women's All-Around Comments (0)
