Liukin To Help Direct U.S. Elite Program

Just weeks after the Russian Gymnastics Federation drew criticism for replacing Alexander Alexandrov with Yevgeny Grebenkin as head women's coach (link), USA Gymnastics announced a restructuring of its own women's elite program. Marta Karolyi will continue to work with the national team, while Valeri Liukin will take over the developmental stages of the women's program. Steve Rybacki, former coach of Vanessa Atler and Jamie Dantzscher, will serve as an administrator. Read more.
