All three Olympic men's all-around medalists are on the roster for the upcoming DTB Cup, Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in Stuttgart.

Led by Japanese superstar Kohei Uchimura, all three Olympic men's all-around medalists are on the roster for the upcoming DTB Cup, Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in Stuttgart.

The 30th edition of the tournament features a team competition as well as one of three World Cup all-around events in 2012.

Uchimura, the reigning Olympic champion and three-time world all-around champion, headlines the men's individual field in Stuttgart. Tournament director Valeri Belenki, a former world and Olympic champion, said the organizers are delighted Uchimura will be attending the DTB Cup after several years of declined invitations.

"An appearance from Uchimura is very rare outside of Asia, and of course it makes us especially proud that he is coming," Belenki said.

Olympic all-around silver medalist Marcel Nguyen (Germany) and bronze medalist Danell Leyva (United States) are also on the roster along with five gymnasts from London's top 10: Russia's David Belyavsky (fifth), Japan's Kazuhito Tanaka (sixth), Britain's Kristian Thomas (seventh), Spain's Fabian Gonzalez (Spain) and Brazil's Sergio Sasaki (10th).

"These eight gymnasts are really absolute world class," Belenki said.

Nguyen, second all-around at the 2011 DTB Cup, said he has to prove himself to the home crowd after his excellent showing in London, where he also won the silver medal on parallel bars.

"All the best gymnasts from the Olympics will be there, so again I have to work very hard so I make a good impression," Nguyen said.

The women's competition is significantly weaker, with no individual Olympic medalists present.

"Here we have to accept some cancellations of the top gymnasts from London," Belenki noted.

European floor exercise champion Larisa Iordache, a member of Romania's bronze medal-winning team from London, headlines the women's field.

The powerful Elizabeth Price, an alternate to the U.S. women's Olympic squad, is also a favorite for the title in her World Cup debut.

The majority of the gymnasts in Stuttgart will head to Glasgow the following weekend in the final World Cup event of the year.

Uchimura will skip the event in Glasgow to prepare for the Toyota International, Dec. 15-16 in Japan. Replacing him in Glasgow will be Ukrainian upstart Oleg Vernyayev, 11th all-around in London and recent winner of the Mexican Open.

I really hope there is at least streaming for this. I doubt this will be broadcasted anywhere besides Germany.
