Grandi Gives Mixed Review of Olympic Judging

FIG President Bruno Grandi critiqued the judges from the three gymnastics disciplines at the London Olympics. And while he was pleased with those in rhythmic and trampoline, he was not completely satisfied with how the artistic gymnastics competition was evaluated. Read more.

It's a bit confusing, but is he saying that the FIG supports equal placing and equal medals for dead-heats - which is why there can be ties in world championships, but that different rules applied in the Olympics? Can anybody shed any light?
