National champions Elisabeth Seitz and Fabian Hambüchen won Germany's second Olympic Trials, held Saturday in Frankfurt.

Seitz defeated Nadine Jarosch and Kim Bui, repeating the rankings from the national championships earlier this month. Held June 16 in Düsseldorf, the national championships served as the first Olympic trial for Germany.

Five-time Olympian Oksana Chusovitina competed vault and beam only. She earned 15.275 — the highest score of the women's competition — for her layout Rudi vault. Chusovitina, who turned 37 earlier on June 19, is considered a lock for her sixth Olympic Games.

Hambüchen won a mistake-filled men's event, triumphing despite a fall on pommel horse and poor landing on his Yurchenko 2 1/2 vault.

"The mood here in the hall was awesome and it's annoying about my errors," Hambüchen said. "After all, this was the last event before the Olympics but now I know where I need to focus in training."

<Philipp Boy took second over strong>Sebastian Krimmer. Boy landed his new Dragulescu on vault for 16.100 but fell off pommel horse and high bar.

Andreas Toba placed fourth ahead of Marcel Nguyen, who had been second to Hambüchen in Düsseldorf. Nguyen had the top scores on still rings (15.45) and parallel bars (15.80) but had a large miss and then a fall on high bar for 12.80.

2008 Olympian Eugen Spiridonov was forced to withdraw from the selection earlier this week because of an injury to his right shoulder. Spiridonov was a key member of the 2010 German squads that first at Europeans and third at the worlds.
