2010 world all-around champion Aliya Mustafina continued her impressive comeback at the Russian championships, leading her Moscow team to first place in the team final in Penza.

Maria Bondareva won the junior title in the Candidate for Master of Sport division

Mustafina, who won the all-around title Wednesday, competed three events in Thursday's team final. She scored 16.033 on uneven bars, catching her new combination transition of Pak salto to Stalder-Shaposhnikova-half and namesake dismount (1 1/2-twisting double tuck). Nearly a year after undergoing knee surgery for a torn ACL, Mustafina had the best score on vault for her stuck double-twisting Yurchenko.

Moscow teammate Anastasia Grishina — third all-around Wednesday after falls on bars and beam — hit her tricky bars set but dropped off beam again (RO, layout). Grishina, a first-year senior, had the second-best score on floor exercise for her elegant exercise.

Veteran Ksenia Afanasyeva continued her recent consistent streak, hitting four events to lead her Central squad to second over the Northwest region. The 2008 Olympian brought the top scores of the day on both balance beam and floor exercise.

On Friday, Polina Fedorova (Master of Sport) and Maria Bondareva (Candidate for Master of Sport) captured the junior all-around titles.

Bondareva scored 56.867 with an impressive 15.200 on balance beam (side aerial, ff, layout; front aerial to sheep jump, side somi; switch ring; RO, ff, double tuck). Bondareva, who turns 13 in November, won the all-around title at the Gymnix International earlier this month. She is coached by Ulyana Pursheva at the Olympic Sport School in the city of Fryazino, 25 kilometers northeast of Moscow.

Competition continues Saturday in Penza with the first day of apparatus finals.

Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
