Preparing for Thursday's all-around final at the world gymnastics championships in Tokyo, Canada's Peng-Peng (Christine) Lee told IG she aims to better her showing in qualifications that earned her a spot in the final at her first worlds. "I though qualification went well, but there are still improvements I would like to make," she said. "I am really focusing on the process of my routines, like taking it one skill at a time. The results will come afterwards." Lee, who qualified 20th for the final, said she is more concerned with performing her best than winning a specific position. "I'm not so much focusing on a rank," she said. "I'm more focusing on personal scores on each event." Lee credits her teammates for encouraging her throughout qualifications, where the Canadian team finished 11th. The top eight teams earned team berths for next summer's Olympic Games in London. Four additional teams will qualify for the Games at an Olympic test event in London in January. "A main key in helping go through my first worlds is the support from my teammates," Lee told IG. "Our team really supported each other throughout the competition and that helped me with the pressure of worlds." Read an interview with Lee in the April 2011 issue of International Gymnast magazine.
