 Liverpool bagged the team title at the 2011 British Women's Championships.Hannah Whelan led Liverpool to victory at the 2011 British Women's Team Championships, held this past weekend in Guildford, Surrey.
Whelan teamed with Beth Tweddle, Jennifer Pinches, Abi Caig and Rebecca Tunney to score 167.200, putting Liverpool well ahead of Cardiff Central (154.400) and Heathrow (153.850).
Whelan, the 2010 British all-around champion, scored 56.850 as the top all-around gymnast. She had the high mark on balance beam, 14.850, with a 6.0 Difficulty score. Pinches was second with 53.100, two tenths ahead of Heathrow's Danusia Francis.
Tweddle received the Ursel Free Trophy, given to the gymnast with the highest individual score, for her 14.900 on uneven bars. She also scored the top mark on floor exercise, 14.300.
The British women's championships, for junior and senior all-around and events, take place July 9-10 in Liverpool.
