Galante Wins Massilia Cup

Italian junior Paola Galante won the 19th Massilia Gym Cup, held Friday to Sunday in Marseille, France.

Galante topped China's Xiao Tingting and France's Youna Dufournet to win the all-around title on Saturday.

On Sunday, Galante won uneven bars with the highest score of the competition: 15.875. Dufournet won vault, Romania's Ana Porgras won balance beam and China's Zhang Xin won floor exercise.

On Friday evening, Dufournet won the Massilia Open competition, topping Canada's Sky Corbett and Australia's Victoria Williams.

The 2008 Women's European Championships for juniors and seniors will be held in Clermont-Ferrand, France, in April.
