Olympic champion Yevgenia Kanayeva defended her all-around title Friday at the 2010 Rhythmic World Championships in Moscow.

Russians Yevgenia Kanayeva and Daria Kondakova went 1-2 in the all-around final Friday at the 2010 Rhythmic World Ccampionships in Moscow.

Kanayeva, the reigning Olympic champion, defended her all-around title with four solid routines (116.250). Her day was highlighted by her routine with the ball, which brought the high score of 29.350.

Kanayeva, who had already won golds with the hoop and the ball at Moscow's Olympic Complex, said she was relieved to win the all-around again.

"My happiness isn't so much myself as that I didn't let down my coaches — my first coach, my personal coach and head coach, and my choregrapher — who have invested in me so much time and emotional strength, supported me when things weren't working. Not everything at the "Olympic" went smoothly and perfectly, but I'm a human being, not a robot!"

Kanayeva said she hadn't given thought to how she would celebrate back-to-back world titles.

"I'm not sure that I will doing something special to celebrate," she said. "A couple days rest, and then back in the gym!"

Kondakova won the silver over Belarusian Melitina Stanyuta, 113.850-110.350. In the final rotation, Stanyuta eclipsed Azerbaijan's Aliya Garayeva, who was in third after three events.

Kondakova, who won the individual title with the ribbon, was awarded the Longines "Prize of Elegance." Uzbekistan's Ulyana Trofimova, 12th all-around, was presented the special Alina Kabayeva Prize for Artistry.

"Rhythmic gymnastics is, of course, a sport, but also grace," said Kabayeva, a native of Tashkent. "Uliana Trofimova showed such skill, that the pleasure wasn't only mine but also the spectators."

Trofimova said she was overjoyed with the unexpected award.

"I'm very happy that my efforts did not go unnoticed," she said. "Alina Kabayeva is my idol, and now she's presented me this award. I absolutely did not expect it."

Competition continues Saturday with the group overall final.
