Olympian Becky Downie won the all-around and led Great Britain to victory over Switzerland in a dual meet held Saturday in Gateshead, England. Downie and three of her teammates finished first through fourth in the all-around, as the British gymnasts outscored Switzerland in the team standings, 168.70–152.85. "It feels really great to put in a performance like I have today," said Downie, who placed 12th all-around at the 2008 Olympic Games. "I was really happy with beam and excited to be able to show off my new floor routine, so overall I'm very happy." Recently crowned British all-around champion Hannah Whelan placed second (55.85), followed by Jennifer Pinches (55.30) and Danusia Francis (55.00). Ariella Käslin, the 2009 European all-around bronze medalist and vault gold medalist, was the top Swiss competitor. She placed fifth all-around (53.10).
