China Takes Four as DTB Cup Concludes
(5 votes, average 5.00 out of 5)

Nine of the 10 qualification leaders claimed victories Saturday at the DTB Cup finals in Stuttgart, with Chinese gymnasts winning four titles.

2009 world champions Zhang Hongtao (pommel horse) and Wang Guanyin (parallel bars) and 2008 Olympic still rings champion Chen Yibing grabbed half the men's titles for China.

Female compatriot Sui Lu won floor exercise. Sui won the bronze medal on floor exercise at last month's world championships in London.

Jana Komrskova (Czech Republic) and Flavius Koczi (Romania) again vaulted to the top.

Kim Bui won the gold for Germany on uneven bars, one of six medals for the home team. As in Friday's qualification, Bui finished third on vault and second on floor exercise.

Russia's Ksenia Semyonova, the top gymnast on balance beam Friday, was the only top qualifier not to repeat Saturday. She fell to third behind Romanian upstart Ana Porgras and Germany's Maike Roll.

Brazilian star Diego Hypolito won men's floor exercise, and Epke Zonderland (Netherlands) won high bar.

Competition continues Sunday in Stuttgart with the finale of the Champions Trophy, where eight male gymnasts will compete for a grand prize of 50,000 euros and a new car. British star Daniel Keatings is the point leader entering the final.

Boring
Articles without any description of the gymnastics that was performed are boring. Could we have a quick summary of some of the highlights of the meet? Any spectacular combinations? Anything noteworthy besides the scores?
