I think this code could really work to SJ's benefits, especially the stick rule on floor. IF she really wants to, I think that a comeback is possible. Maybe not to the standard she was last time around, but she definitely can come back.

It is kind of sad though, that we need a disclaimer with a lot of this stuff. Like a *I don't hate Nastia/SJ* warning. Maybe it should just go without saying that we're not retarded. - Fishbulb

I think it's great she's back in the gym, whether or not she's going to come back. She's giving both alternatives a fair chance. I'll be happy with whatever she thinks is best for her (not that my opinion really matters). If she does come back, I think she'd make a good team player/specialist. Somehow I don't see her coming back to be an all around contender.

What boggled my mind about her 2007-2008 career was that despite all her power, she never trained a second vault for event finals. Maybe she just didn't have time with only 4 hours a day, focusing on the all around. So it would make me really happy to see her come back as a vault/vault & floor specialist.

Well that surprised me. When she didn't go back in October, I thought she was done. Nice to hear that all the rumors about her already deciding, but holding out on announcing her retirement to keep her sponsorships, appear to be false.

I still kind of doubt that she'll come back, but I would be happy if she did. She's not my favorite gymnast, but it would be interesting to see how a comeback would motivate the younger gymnasts.

Interesting. I didn't think she would come back! Part of me wants the older girls to keep competing, but the other part of me wants to see how the newbies do. Whatever she decides, I hope she's happy.

I hope all goes well for her! Whatever choice she makes, I'm sure it'll be the choice that makes her happy!

I hope Shawn and Nastia will lose 10-15 pounds each, otherwise they're gonna injure their ankles if they do a comeback

Kinda late to join the Shawnmas party!

I'm quite surprised but VERY glad to know about this. That being said, whatever makes her happy is what I wish for.

I too have a lovely GIF to share. Still SOOO happy for her for winning that gold…
