Wow, pushed back till next year? How about we just forget about it?
That article has some mistakes, though, about Kim Gwang Suk. She wasn't stripped of her gold medal nor were her results wiped out. The only disciplinary action that FIG took was banning North Korea from the 1993 Worlds. That's it.
Yang Yun is one of my favorite Chinese gymnasts of all time. Along with Mo Huilan, she truly is one of China's most complete all-around gymnasts. She was terrific on all four events. It's a shame all those injuries after Sydney kept her from achieving more.
I think regardless of all the age crap that comes up, Kim Gwang Suk remains the only gymnast to be caught red-handed with documentation and disciplined.
All these other age falsifications came up years after the fact and were orally revealed, not by documentation. Who knows if those are really truth or not?
The PRK handed themselves in by submitting 3 different birthdates for her.
I will say that China needs to get their act together this quad. They're on the red-hot list now (even though they've probably been falsifying ages for years). They were quite careless leading up to Beijing.

They were beautiful, absolutely. But if they weren't of age - and I don't believe they were - their results should be nullified and China should be disciplined. I do hope, though, that if it comes to that (which it won't, cause if the Beijing team got away with it, I bet Dong and Yang will), that it will happen as soon as possible. I'd hate to see China not allowed to compete in 2012.
