One last update about Ted (or most likely one of the last):
Ted has been thriving. We'll go back a few weeks and start there...
Over Thanksgiving, Ted and his family went to Texas and enjoyed some time hiking and such. Taking it easy, but accomplishinhg something. It was the family's first trip to somewhere that wasn't the hospital in a while so it was really exciting for them.
After Ted's younger brother came home from college for Christmas break, they went on a hunting trip. Ted even got himself a few pheasants!
And the most reccent post that I think really shows how well he's doing:
"Today, Ted fenced for the first time since June 2. Despite his protestations to the contrary, he fenced very well and beat Dylan, Todd, and Boo. No joke. His ICD appeared to function well with the scoring machine and he absorbed a couple of hits to the chest without any problems. His strength and stamina impressed everyone. And he's still the same old Ted on the fencing strip -- the kid can (and does) mess with your mind."
Thanks for all of the prayers you have contributed in Ted's honor. Here's to a good year!
