Default Best Gymnastics Books

I reread my copy of Claudia Miller's "My Daughter, My Hero" recently, and in between my laughing fits (the lady remembers every single Bible quote she gave Shannon before meets, and made her write a letter to her own stalker) I decided to find my other favorite gymnastics book, Mary Lou Retton's autobiography, with Bela Karolyi. Bela's parts are hilarious, I highly recommend reading this if you haven't already...it's like the editors gave up completely and didn't even try to fix his spelling or grammar...I wanted to take my red pen and mark that **** up.

Anyone else know any good gymnastics books?

I thought Kerri Strug's autobiography "Landing on My Feet; a Diary of Dreams" was pretty good. I read it a couple of years ago and I learned a lot more about her than I had known previously.

When I was younger I was in love with a book series called "Junior Gymnasts." The girls were level 4 or 5 (I can't remember) and competing in their first meets. They were good for 3rd or 4th graders I'd say. I read them so many times it was ridiculous.

I agree with Kerri's book. Loved it.

I also really enjoyed Tim Daggett's book, Dare to Dream.

Claudia Miller's was probably my favorite, followed by Kerri's. I didn't agree with a lot of it, but I really liked Jen Sey's book as well.

I think my favourite book is Nadia's "Letters to a Young Gymnast". It provides some interesting insight to life in communist Romania as well as her defection to North America.

Same here! Loved that series when I was a kid. I remember waiting and waiting for the next one to come out.
