USA Gymnastics has announced the team members that will represent the US at the 2009 Pan American Games in Aracaju, Brazil from November 4-9. This event is also America's qualifier for the 2010 Youth Olympic Games, August 10-26 in Singapore.
The women's team is made up of the top 4 All-Around finishers from the 2009 US National Championships:
Kyla Ross, Gym-Max
Bridgette Caquatto, Naperville Gymnastics
Alexandra Raisman, Brestyan's American Gymnastics
Sabrina Vega, Dynamic Gymnastics
The men's team was selected following a junior training camp at the USOTC in Colorado Springs where they hosted a friendly competition with junior teams from Germany and Canada. The 2 American junior teams crushed the international competition, showing a promising future for American men's gymnastics. You can check out results here. The team selected to travel to Brazil is,
C.J. Maestas, Gold Cup Gymnastics
Sam Mikulak, SCATS HB
Jesse Glenn, SCATS HB
Jake Martin, Orlando Metro
(Sean Melton, Orlando Metro was selected as an alternate)
I hope Aly Raisman wipes the floor with her competitors!

Khohkina now to the floh, a masteh at ahtistry and seduction. Oh no, she's fallen to heh head on the fihst tumble. No biggie. She shouldn't lose the full 0.5 because heh ahtistry is just so superioh to everyone else.
Not a surprising list, agree with most of it. Although I'm not familiar with half of the MAG juniors.

Innovation is the key to bringing back gymnastics from the grave. It's the coaches and gymnasts, not pointless FIG figureheads, that killed it.
