Johnson Honored as "Person of the Week"

Newly crowned world all-around champion Shawn Johnson (USA) was featured in a Friday segment of ABC World News, which named her "Person of the Week."

The segment included interviews with Johnson, parents Doug and Teri Johnson, and coach Liang Qiao, as well as footage of Johnson training at Chow's Gymnastics in Iowa, and competing at last week's World Championships in Stuttgart. Images of Johnson as a young child, including a clip of her performing a handspring vault in competition, were also shown.

In Stuttgart, the 15-year-old Johnson won the all-around gold medal, as well as gold medals on floor exercise and in the team competition.

"It feels like a dream come true," Johnson said in Stuttgart. "It's everything I've ever wanted, and what every girl in the world wants, and to know that I've fulfilled all my expectations and dreams feels amazing."

Earlier this year, Johnson won all-around titles at the American Cup, the Pan American Games and the U.S. Championships.
